A total of 33 speakers from 6 countries (China, India, Italy, Japan, Switzerland, USA) shared their experience in different fields of neurosurgery with about 90 colleagues and neurosurgical residents from Myanmar.

A successful endovascular workshop was also organized on the second day.

The conference was supported by the WFNS Foundation and ACNS, as well as Distinct Medical, Okkar Thiri Co. Ltd, Zifam, Sanofi, Ever Pharma, Zizawa Healthcare, Pfizer, Sea Lion Co. Ltd, United Pharma, SUMMR, TRI CARE Co Ltd, King Prize Co. Ltd, Mega Vigor, Value Healthcare, DKSH, Zydus Cadila, and Sun Pharma.

The event was a great success, due to both the extraordinary scientific level and the excellent organization. The speakers addressed relevant issues in the fields of vascular surgery, brain and spinal tumors, pediatric neurosurgery, trans-sphenoidal and intraventricular endoscopy, functional neurosurgery, technological innovations and education in neurosurgery. It was a great chance for everyone to learn from each other.

Social events included the Welcome Dinner, the exclusive Presidential Dinner with the speech by the Ministry of Health of Myanmar, and the Closing Dinner. It was possible to visit the Neurosurgical Departments in Yangon, and the magnificent Shwedagon Pagoda.

In addition to the academic aspects, the amazing hospitality of the Organizing Committee and of all colleagues and residents of the Myanmar Neurosurgical Community favored a positive and beneficial atmosphere, which is the most powerful basis for strong friendship and further collaboration in order to share experience and competence.

Special thanks should be given to the organizers, who did tremendous work for this successful event, and to the ACNS and Prof. Yoko Kato, whose efforts put together the international faculty.
