Jafar, M.D., F.A.C.S., of the Department of Neurosurgery at New York University Medical Center, New York, USA, offers a 4 month paid international fellowship to senior residents, postgraduate fellows, or recently graduated eurosurgeons. The fellows have the liberty to observe any Neurosurgical subspecialty they are interested in, which include: cerebrovascular, rain tumors, spine, epilepsy-functional, pediatric, radiosurgery, and interventional neuroradiology. The visiting fellows are trongly encouraged to get involved in writing a paper with one of the attending staff during their stay. The monthly stipend is US $ 3,000 which should cover meals and lodging expenses. Travel expenses are not included, and are born by the accepted fellows.
The applications should be made to the WFNS Foundation, (Prof. Armando Basso, armandobasso@aol.com) who after reviewing the applicants, would recommend them to this International Fellowship Program. At the end of satisfactorily completing the rotation, observer Certificates are issued by NYU Neurosurgery, and the WFNS.
