Southern Tohoku Research Institute for Neuroscience is a core corporation of the Fukushima Prefecture-based Southern Tohoku Group, which operates eight hospitals in Tokyo and three other prefectures. The Corporation operates medical facilities and nursing homes, centering on its affiliated Southern Tohoku Hospital (461 beds) in Koriyama City. It opened Japan’s first privately managed proton therapy center, and is now promoting a plan to develop and demonstrate a cancer treatment equipment using boron-neutron capture therapy (BNCT) as the first hospital in the world to do so. Two letters of recommendation from your principal, professor, or dean are required. The letters should indicate the specific needs of your institution or your research that will be fulfilled by your experience at the Hospital. One letter must be from the associated dean of students or equivalent. This letter must state the student is in good standing and good health.
The applicant please fill out the Online Application Form and sumbit 1 year beofre the date when you wish to begin the training. Only the online application will be accepted. At the end of satisfactorily completing the rotation, Certificates are issued by the WFNS.
